http://www.baudinard.fr

Situated at the gates of the Verdon and close to the Lac de Sainte-Croix, Baudinard is one of the pearls of the Haut Var. Make time to see the "Gorge de Baudinard" which leads to the lower gorges of the Verdon, a truly turquoise waterway bordered by cliffs (100-150m high), interspersed with several caves, which contained prehistoric remains.

This very sunny Franco-Swiss ski area reaches a height of 2,186m at Col de Balme pass. It is reached via Le Tour village or by gondola lift from Vallorcine. The Balme ski area has hill-walking paths of all levels of difficulty, such as the path up to the Albert I mountain hut, a very pleasant walk in a giant-scale glacier setting, but also routes in the wild through pastures and forests. From Charmillon to Col des Posettes pass, numerous mountain-biking trails for all levels take you down to the villages of Le Tour and Vallorcine.

Mountain of Valais

MOUNTAINS OF VALAIS by Christian Mülhauser

Through fog, rain, snow and even wind gusts of up to 120 km/h I am happy to have completed this project. Mountain of Valais is by far my most time consuming venture, which at points pushed me to my utter most limits. With 40kg of kit on my back it was not always easy to arrive to my chosen locations. After 15 days of filming in between August and November this year, and as a further four weeks of postproduction the project is finally finished.

My thanks goes out to the Magic Lantern Team, who through their work have made my process a lot easier. An important part of any Day-Night-Day (Holy Grail) recordings was the Auto ETTR function, as well as the Intervalometer and the Post-Deflicker from Magic Lantern.

Thanks Roberto Cacciapaglia and Glance Studio for the permission to use this great music.

Tuscany in Italy.

LISTEN TO THE HEART OF TUSCANY - ITALY by Gunther Machu

One of my favorite places on earth - the heart of the Tuscany in Italy, from a macro perspective. No music, just the sounds of little life in a fantastic atmosphere.

A big "Thank you" goes to my friend and fellow filmmaker Nino Leitner, who encouraged me to upload the film as is without music.

Shot over the course of 14 days, searching for those moments where everything aligns. Field recordings with a ZOOM H2, other ressources included freesound.org.

At a later stage, I will most probably share an alternate version with specifically composed music as well.

Let me know what you think!

FUERTEVENTURA by Joel Hördegård

Fuerteventura, the second largest of Spain’s Canary Islands, lost in the Atlantic Ocean far away from the busy cities of Europe. The beaches are made of white-sand and the in-land is wild, dry and Mars like! The place is popular for its surd spots. Get ready for a roots experience with only relax people!

Skyros (Greek: Σκύρος) is the southernmost Greek island of Sporades' island complex in the Aegean Sea.

SKYROS - GREECE by TreeZone

Skyros (Greek: Σκύρος) is the southernmost Greek island of Sporades' island complex in the Aegean Sea. At 209 square kilometres, it is the largest one of Sporades, and has a population of about 3,000.
The largest part of Skyros is mountainous, with two distinct mountain ranges in the northern and southern parts. Among them there is semi lowland and semi hilly area, which is north-to- south direction, between the northern eastern and southern coasts of the island. The northern part is covered with dense pine forest.
According to Greek mythology, Theseus died on Skyros when he was thrown from a cliff. Neoptolemus, son of Achilles, was from Skyros.
In 475 BC,according to Thucydides, Cimon defeated the Dolopians (the original inhabitants) and conquered the entire island. From that date, it was colonized by Athenian settlers and became a part of the Athenian Empire. Around the 2nd millennium BC the island was known as The Island of the Magnetes where the Magnetes used to live and later Pelasgia and Dolopia and later Skyros.
Rupert Brooke, the famous English poet, is buried on Skyros, having died on board a French hospital ship moored off the island in 1915, during World War I.
The island has its own breed of Skyrian ponies.
